Oxygen - It's Not Just for Breathing...It CAN Improve Your Sports Performance!

How important is oxygen to sports performance?  It‘s connection to health gives us the answer. Oxygen turns nutrients into energy by oxidation to give you increased mental alertness, energy and stamina.  It increases metabolic processes in the body, stimulates blood circulation, and strengthens the immune system by ridding the body of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and toxins.  It’s performance as a natural disinfectant within the body leads to benefits on the surface too, by activating capillaries that nourish and revitalize the skin; thereby preventing premature aging of skin. Oxygen naturally selects what it kills leaving beneficial bacteria, unlike antibiotics which kill off both good and bad bacteria when taken.

In the 70s & 80s many athletes tried using a performance-enhancing technique known as ‘blood doping’. It was an expensive means through which blood transfusions put more red blood cells into their bloodstreams for better sports performance, but it had negative effects by thickening the blood, thereby making it clot more readily, increasing the chances for strokes and heart attacks, and not to mention complication of legalities of setting sporting records. In hospitals, on the other hand, hyperbaric oxygen chambers are routinely used to drive enormous amounts of oxygen into patients to kill off bacteria, fungi and viruses, so that the body has a much better chance of recovering after an operation. Oxygen in the form of ozone (O3) is used to purify municipal drinking water in major cities like Paris and L.A which can afford it.

The air we breathe has far less oxygen than past generations due to carbon based fuels which consume enormous amounts of oxygen.  In cities with exceptionally heavy pollution from traffic, oxygen levels have been measured as low as 10%. Chlorine and fluoride added to our drinking water depletes even more oxygen. On top of this, the average North American diet is insufficient in nutrients and is extremely acidic, creating an excess of positively charged hydrogen ions which combine with, and use up oxygen. Also as we age, we require more oxygen because our bodies process less of it.  Our immune systems weaken with oxygen deprivation, especially with stresses of modern life.  An oxygen deprived health situation creates prime conditions for growth of bacteria, fungi and viruses in the body, potentially leading to diseases and other health complications.

Nobel Prize winner for Medicine, Dr. Otto Warburgh, proved that the growth of cancer is inhibited in a high oxygen environment.  He showed that when oxidation fails and fermentation is substituted for a cell’s energy, the pathway to cancer is opened.  Oxygen plays a pivotal role in resistance to disease. Oxygen deficiency has been looked at as the single greatest cause of all diseases by many top nutrition researchers; Dr. Steven Levine is one. To understand how viruses can take over cells, you have to understand the nature of cell replication. Any cells that replicate have to have both DNA and RNA as genetic material in order to multiply.  Viruses have either DNA or RNA but not both, so when a virus invades a cell, it acts like a parasite, hijacking and utilizing the DNA if it has RNA; or the other, if it has only DNA to multiply. That’s how viruses multiply - they rob the DNA or RNA of your host cell in order to replicate themselves. Viruses and bacteria are positively charged and since an oxygen molecule is negatively charged and missing an electron from its outer orbit, it will seek out positively charged viruses and bacteria, moving an electron from their orbit, instantly killing the viral organism. Again, nature has made oxygen in our bodies to be selective, killing off anaerobic (disease promoting) bacteria, yet leaving friendly, aerobic bacteria to thrive in our bodies.

So how do we get more oxygen into our bodies? In the last decade, the discovery of stabilizing oxygen in a nontoxic, liquid form has made a monumental contribution towards health and well being.  It is known as stabilized aerobic oxygen and is affordable and readily available from health supplement stores.  Aerobic oxygen is notably alkaline to counter the heavy acidity in our bodies mainly from our North American diets. You cannot get sick if your body is in an alkaline state and the average North American diet is heavily acidic. Stabilized aerobic oxygen comes in squeezable, recyclable, plastic bottles so you can squeeze out an appropriate number of drops for yourself into your water or juice to drink. Lab tests show that just 10 drops of aerobic oxygen in 240 ml (8.44oz) of water increases oxygen content by 442%. You cannot put the drops into liquids over 130 degrees so cooler liquids are what you should put the drops into for drinking.  The oxygen will last many hours in your body while it does its work. Aerobic oxygen is best taken on a daily basis as a deterrent to getting sick. Killing off bacteria, fungi and viruses on a daily basis will keep them from replicating, getting out of control and causing illness in the body.

Aerobic Oxygen

Those who have been on it the first week will notice that they become more alert. This is because ongoing low grade infections in the body disappear, leaving a greater sense of well being. Taken on a daily basis, and with proper nutrition, many find they no longer have skin problems nor continue to get colds and flus.  Personal stories abound, each with their own experience of regaining better health again with its use.   Despite how harmful smoking is, smokers can benefit from taking additional oxygen since carbon monoxide from smoking lowers blood oxygen carrying capacity.

In addition to its health benefits, added oxygen in the bloodstream enhances sports performance since working muscles need oxygen as fuel. In sports, muscles use three times more oxygen as resting. This means supplying additional oxygen to the muscles will mean better performance and you won’t overwork your lungs with heavy breathing to pull in more oxygen from air for your muscles.
